Boat Graveyard - Alaska

Our wonderful host in Alaska took us on a boat tour of the area and we got to see this boat graveyard.

There was a large variety of ships and boat there, I am just sorry I didn't get more pictures.

I also really really wanted to go on them and look around but it didn't happen.

This concludes my Alaska trip, these photos are all older as I was in Alaska in 2018 so things could look different there now as time and nature takes it toll.

Next we will look at more places closer to home!

Abandoned Houses - Annette Island, Alaska

I am almost done with my photos and things I saw in Alaska!

These were very cool houses we got to see. You will see in one of the pictures that one has a machine crashed into it! I was told that these houses were booby trapped after the owners left to protect their things. The traps were long gone by the time we got there.

One house was very weird, it has a fire proof elevator door that protected the basement. Down there was a bunch of kids bike and a retractable metal cable in the back corner of the basement.

Abandoned Office Building - Annette Island, Alaska

This large building looks to have been an office building maybe from the army. There was bits of office looking papers in a few of the rooms.

The bottom floor even had a large industrial kitchen.

Abandoned Airbase - Annette Island, Alaska

On this trip I got to see a lot of very cool abandoned things!

One the cool ones was the abandoned airfield and hanger. I heard that some people in the town still use the runways for racing.

I was shocked at how big the hanger was! You can kind of see the scale of it in the second picture that little dot is my friend's truck parked right in the doorway of the hanger.

There was even a shell of a gas/service station near the airfield.

Turret - Annette Island, Alaska

I can't even really tell you how cool this island was! Like everything was abandoned on there! You couldn't drive like 5 mins without finding from World War 2.

This was an old turret stand that my friend showed me. You can see the rail used to aim it.

On the way there we also say this old army hut.
